Coach Stephen "Stevo" McLaughlin is an Alumni of The Potter's House Christian Academy; he played at the school from 2001-2005. He was a part of history at The Potter's House, as part of the first graduating class in school history. Coach McLaughlin also had a stellar career at PHCA by earning many accolades "including 1A Player of the Year in 2005" and winning a lot of games, and still holds records in PHCA basketball history. After he graduated, he went on to play some college basketball on the JUCO level, after his time there he came back home and started coaching. He began as the assistant coach at PHCA and then was thrust into the Head Coaching role the very next year because of the departure of the previous coach. Over his 7-year tenure as coach of PHCA, he's been able to change the landscape of PHCA basketball and help young men achieve their dreams of playing college basketball. He also led the Boys Basketball program to their first NACA National Championship in 2015. Coach Mclaughlin is a family man; he and his wife Ashley McLaughlin have three kids, Chevonne, Brandon, and Stephen Jr.
Coach McLaughlin is a God-fearing devoted Christian who desires that all his players to have a personal relationship with Christ and become the best version of themselves as can be.
Coach Randy Lamar Wade was born in Atlanta, Ga playing AAU basketball at Warrens Boys Club and Cedar Grove High School in Ellenwood, Ga. Coach Wade is retired serving 20 years of military service. Randy Wade is a family man as his beautiful wife Gwendolyn Wade and three children Shaun, Latrell and Serenity Wade. Coach Wade has numerous head coaching experience starting with Bob Dye Clay YMCA, Jacksonville Warriors, and Julian Woods Athletics Association. As an Assistant Coach for Trinity Christian Academy, Coach Wade helped recement program not known for basketball in the Jacksonville area. As a steward to the community of Duval Randy Wade has been involved with numerous nonprofit organizations assisting and making our community a better place. Serving in programs for feeding the hungry, lupus walks, Black Man Walking and countless of others to serve his community. Mr. Randy Wade created a Podcast called Daddy’s Ball to increase awareness in the recruiting process. The Daddy’s Ball Podcast has reached over 48 states and nine countries overseas aiding to be an outlet adding student-athletes and parents with any questions they may have in the process. Coach Wade is a God-fearing man that is glad to be apart of the Potter’s House Christian Family and Team.
