Coach Maurice Willie
Head Coach High School Varsity (National Team)

Maurice Willie,  Graduated from Paxon Senior High School in 1995. He played basketball with an Athletic Scholarship earned at Edward Waters College, Jacksonville, FL.

Coach Maurice has coached and trained basketball players around Jacksonville for the last twenty 22 years. Coach Maurice began coaching AAU basketball with the Jacksonville Lee Bulls back in early 2000's. During his time with the Bulls he contributed to the development of numerous budding middle school players who eventually became household names in the high school ranks. Players include Dwayne Joshua (N.C A&T), Brendan Walker (Mercer), London Warren (Dayton), Zach

Paterick (Holy Cross), Keeshaun King (Elms College) Christian Simpson (Wheaton College) Isaiah Ford (Virginia Tech), Grayson Allen (Duke), JT Escobar (Ole Miss), Udoka Azubuike (Kansas) Isaiah Adams(UCF) Alex Fudge (LSU) to name a few.

 

Coach Willie's stint with Potter's House began as an assistant coach back in 2015. At the time of the hire, his primary role was player skill development,  where he immediately excelled. Since joining the staff the Lions have had 36 players sign college scholarships from the basketball program.
